People have farmed this fish successfully in Guangdong, Guangxi, Fujian, Taiwan, Hainan, and other places. Its breeding technology is relatively mature. Golden pomfret contains protein, carbohydrates, unsaturated fatty acids, and trace elements. In particular, the protein content is very high, including 15.6 g of protein per 100 g of fish.
